WORKSHOPS > MAINE WORKSHOP
Klein Technique™ MAINE Workshop, TBA, 2007 Taught by Susan Klein For registration contact Bebe Miller: bebe@bearnstow.org A comprehensive exploration of Klein Technique™. We will emphasize the idea of moving from our deepest structural and energetic tissue, the bone. Through an interweaving of theory and practice we will work on the muscles of deep postural support: the psoas, the hamstrings, the pelvic floor muscles, and the external rotators. We will work with a body felt understanding of how these muscles bring the bones into alignment, a place of connectedness, which leads to true power and efficiency of movement. Klein Technique™ is a process oriented practice of great value to people of all proficiency levels, dancers and non-dancers alike. Our goal is to bring each person into his or her individuality, power, beauty, and expressivity, by teaching movement from an individual perspective of internal knowing and understanding.
Location Description: The Klein Technique™ workshop at Bearnstow in Mt Vernon, Maine (just about an hour northwest of Portland) is one of our few residential workshops. We stay in rustic cabins just a few feet from a gorgeous and peaceful lake where you can hear the water from your bed. We eat family style in a screen enclosed porch and class is held in a beautiful open space with a fireplace that we can use when we need it. We work in the mornings and evenings about five hours a day and take the afternoons off so we can enjoy swimming and boating in the lake as well as horseback riding, hiking and exploring the acres of extraordinary land surrounding the camp.
The workshop is open to people of all levels of experience with Klein Technique™ including beginners. CONTACT Bebe Miller for registration: bebe@bearnstow.org www.bearnstow.org ![]() |
