Karin Jameson: Instructor of Klein Technique

Karin Jameson Karin Jameson was born and educated in Sweden. She was awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1984, from the University College of Dance in Stockholm, where she is now working as a lecturer. Subsequently Karin has furthered her studies in New York where she has studied at the Cunningham Dance Foundation, with Karen Levy and Emmy Devine and, since 1993, with Barbara Mahler and Susan Klein.

Karin's teaching includes modern dance, movement analyses and Klein Technique. Apart from her position as a lecturer at the University College of Dance, Stockholm, she is also a returning guest artist at the Theatre Academy of Finland, Helsinki, and she frequently gives courses in professional development to dance teachers from all over Sweden.

As a dancer Karin has worked with a number of different Swedish choreographers. Her own choreography has been presented at a number of venues in Stockholm and she choreographs regularly for the student performances at the University College of Dance. As a matter of interest Karin worked, for many years, on movement analyses studies together with the famous Swedish sculptor, Liss Eriksson, resulting in 6 bronze statues.

Karin Jameson is a Certified Teacher of Klein Technique and on the faculty of the Susan Klein School of Movement and Dance.
