Jannine Rivel: Instructor of Klein Technique™

Jannine Rivel comes from Eskilstuna, outside of Stockholm, Sweden and has been dancing and studying dance since she was a young child. She holds two degrees in the field of dance: one as a dancer and performer from The Royal Swedish Ballet School, Stockholm, Sweden, and the other as a teacher of dance from The University College of Dance, Stockholm, Sweden.

Jannine is co-director for the dance company, kompani 2. She started kompani 2 together with her friend Mira Mutka in 2004, more information at www.kompani2.se During 2007 Jannine was chosen to be the town artist and received a culture grant from Landstinget Sormland for continuing her work in the field of dance. Part of the jury´s motivation for awarding this grant was "the poetry of Jannine´s natural movement expression is an important part of the choreographic form". Jannine is continuing her work with kompani 2, teaching at dance education programs and dancing in the choreographies of Karin Munters Jameson.

Jannine began the Teachers Certification Program in Klein Technique™ in August 2004. She has been studying Klein Technique™, both in daily classes and several intensive workshops, with Certified and Master Teachers, Susan Klein, Barbara Mahler and Karin Munters Jameson. Jannine has studied Klein Technique™ internationally: in Finland, Denmark, Scotland, Sweden, Germany, and the USA.
